Cloudflare launches OHTTP Gateway beta for app privacy
Cloudflare rolled out a closed beta for its OHTTP Gateway, a service that lets app developers process requests without seeing users' IP addresses or other identifiers. OHTTP, an internet standard, routes traffic through separate relay and gateway servers to keep user info private. The Gateway is a paid add-on for Cloudflare customers, aimed at apps already using Cloudflare's infrastructure.
- OHTTP hides user IPs from app backends
- Closed beta available via waitlist signup
- Gateway simplifies onboarding for Cloudflare customers
- Works with third-party relays for added privacy separation
- Expands Cloudflare's existing privacy suite
