Cloudflare Traces launches open beta for full request tracing
Cloudflare just launched Traces in open beta, letting you follow a web request's entire path—covering security checks, cache decisions, worker execution, and more—directly from their dashboard. You don't need to set up custom code, and you can control how much is traced. Traces can also be exported with OpenTelemetry standards. This goes beyond just their Workers and brings unprecedented visibility for anyone running traffic through Cloudflare.
- Tracks all steps in a web request through Cloudflare
- No extra setup required for automatic tracing
- Users can control sampling rate and trace rules
- Supports OpenTelemetry export for use with other tools
