Databricks adds advanced search to Lakebase Postgres

Databricks has launched two new search extensions, lakebase_vector and lakebase_text, for its Lakebase Postgres database. These tools enable fast full-text and vector search directly in Postgres, removing the need for separate search engines and complex data pipelines. Databricks claims the new extensions offer higher throughput and lower costs than competing solutions, and are now generally available on AWS and Azure.
