AnyPS5 Fully Translates PS5 GPU Instructions for PC
The AnyPS5 project has now managed to translate every PlayStation 5 GPU shader instruction, a technical breakthrough that means PS5 games could soon run natively on Windows and Linux—without traditional emulation. The work covers all 1,166 instructions tied to the PS5's RDNA 2 graphics processor. The team still has about 461 system libraries left to translate before PC users can truly run PS5 games without extra layers.
- All 1,166 PS5 GPU shader instructions now translated
- Emulation bypassed by recompiling code to work natively
- Only 84.8% of PS5 system libraries translated so far
- 461 libraries remain for full compatibility
- CPU emulation skipped since PS5 uses x86-64 hardware
