Overland AI reveals IBEX for Marine Corps autonomous missions
Overland AI, a Seattle-based defense startup, has introduced IBEX, an autonomous ground vehicle chosen by the US Marine Corps for use in counter-drone defense and hazardous frontline tasks. Developed under a $25 million Department of War contract, IBEX can navigate tough terrain without GPS, carry up to 2,000 pounds, and operate at speeds above 35 mph. Its software allows control of multiple uncrewed vehicles and offers onboard power for defense systems.
