Shield AI to produce AI-piloted X-BAT fighter jet in Washington
Shield AI is setting up production for its X-BAT, an autonomous fighter jet piloted by artificial intelligence, in Des Moines, Washington. The plane is 26 feet long, can launch vertically from roads or ships, and boasts a 1,000-nautical-mile range. Manufacturing at the new Seattle-area facility is expected to add about 4,000 jobs to the region by the early 2030s.
