Amazon ships wrong CPU twice in sealed boxes
An Amazon customer ordered an AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor but received a lower-end Intel Core i3 chip both times—despite packaging that appeared sealed. Photos show the boxes were actually tampered with and had license-plate (LPN) stickers, typically used for returns. Both CPUs were sold and shipped directly by Amazon. The user is now awaiting a refund after two failed attempts to get the correct processor.
- Amazon shipped wrong CPU twice in sealed-looking boxes
- Boxes had LPN stickers tied to returned inventory
- Tampering found at bottom of both CPU boxes
- Buyer received Intel Core i3, not AMD Ryzen 7
- Refund is being processed by Amazon
