Apple awaits Samsung's bezel-free, frame-less iPhone display
Apple is reportedly waiting for Samsung to finalize a new OLED display design that would allow for an iPhone with no visible bezels, frame, or mechanical buttons. The so-called "full-surround, full-screen" technology would have the display bend at nearly 90 degrees on all edges, making the sides of the device part of the screen itself. Ongoing engineering challenges include optical distortion and antenna placement.
