Apple expands "second-party" Home accessories beyond LG
Apple appears to be growing its Home smart device ecosystem by working with partners beyond LG. According to a recent leak, iOS 27.2 includes evidence of new "second-party" Home accessories—products co-developed with Apple but sold under another brand. The latest update points to a Schneider smart thermostat and temperature sensor joining LG's upcoming Apple-partnered smart home products. These items get special treatment in Apple's HomeKit system.
