Apple launching smart home hub with iMac G4-inspired design Oct 13

Apple will debut a new smart home hub on October 13, borrowing the floating-screen look of its classic iMac G4. The device features a 6-inch tilting display, a built-in speaker and microphone, and FaceTime camera. It will come in both tabletop and wall-mounted versions, both requiring constant power. This is Apple's first big move into home control accessories since the HomePod, and it'll run a new software blending elements of iOS, tvOS, and watchOS.
