Apple's AirPods 5 receive improved repairability score

Apple's AirPods 5 are now slightly easier to repair, according to iFixit's teardown. For the first time, a battery in the earbuds can be replaced without destroying the device, leading iFixit to give AirPods 5 a repairability score of 2 out of 10—up from a 0/10 for all prior AirPods generations. However, the charging case remains nearly impossible to open without damage, and battery replacement still requires skill.
