Australia investigates HeyCyan app over smartglasses privacy risk
Australia's privacy regulator has launched an investigation into Shenzhen Qingcheng, the China-based developer of the HeyCyan app used in Kmart's popular Anko smartglasses, citing concerns over the collection and protection of users' personal data. The probe was triggered after the company failed to respond to inquiries about its data practices. The investigation does not include other companies such as Kmart, Meta, or Google.
