Crimson Desert gets early co-op mod before official launch
A fan-made mod has added cooperative multiplayer to Crimson Desert, beating the game's developer, Pearl Abyss, to the punch. The early version lets friends move, fight, and explore together through Steam, but still has big gaps—like worlds not fully syncing up and some actions visible only to one player. It's a work in progress, but a big step for those wanting multiplayer before an official release.
- Fan mod enables basic co-op over Steam
- Players see each other's movements and equipment
- Some actions and world syncing still buggy
- Quests and loot remain separate for each player
- Official multiplayer not yet released
