Smeg launches first standalone air fryer with steam mode
Smeg has released its first dedicated air fryer in the UK, called the AFC01, for £199.95. The device offers seven cooking presets and a unique steam feature meant to keep food moist. Its boxy design drops the typical bulky handle and uses a flip-up lid. U.S. customers will need to wait: Tom's Guide says it won't arrive there until January 2027, at a planned price of $299.
