Sony patents system for viewer interaction on livestreams
Sony has received a US patent for a system that enables livestream viewers to interact directly with a streamer’s game screen. The patent outlines features such as a viewer-controlled cursor for pointing out elements, sending reactions that the streamer can feel as controller vibrations, and allowing viewers limited in-game actions. Only one cursor appears at a time, and access rotates among viewers. Sony has not announced any plans to bring these features to PlayStation consoles.
