Anthropic may spend $84.5 billion on SpaceX AI compute
Anthropic is on the hook for up to $84.5 billion in payments to SpaceX for access to SpaceX’s AI data center capacity, per documents reviewed by Reuters. The contracts run through at least 2029 but let Anthropic cancel with three months’ notice. Most of the AI computing will run on NVIDIA’s new Blackwell GPUs, with SpaceX racing to install over a million chips by the end of the year.
