Audible adds AI guides and interactive audiobook features
Audible is rolling out three new features to make audiobooks more interactive, starting with select titles. Listeners can now see who’s speaking in real time, get character bios, and—using AI—actually converse with book characters like Dracula’s Renfield. There’s also a Visual Explorer to view images and background info related to the story, starting with just one title. All are debuting on Audible Originals before expanding further.
- Character guides show who’s speaking and offer bios
- AI lets listeners interact with story characters
- Visual Explorer adds images and info to the narrative
- Features limited to a few launch titles
- Dracula and 1984 are the first major books included
