Amazon S3 Tables add full Apache Iceberg V3 support
Amazon's S3 Tables now fully support all data types from the latest Apache Iceberg V3 standard. That means you can store semi-structured data, geospatial info, and timestamps with nanosecond precision, natively—no messy workarounds required. Existing V2 tables can be upgraded in place to gain these new features, including built-in deletion vectors and row lineage for better data management and compliance.
- All Apache Iceberg V3 data types are now supported
- Natively stores semi-structured and geospatial data
- Supports deletion vectors for faster, cleaner deletes
- Row lineage fields automatically track data changes
