Microsoft adds native Linux containers to Windows 11
Microsoft has made it possible to run Linux containers directly on Windows 11, without the usual third-party workarounds. The new WSL Containers feature, now broadly available, lets developers build, run, and manage containers through a built-in command-line tool. It brings better performance, new security options, and deeper integration with tools like Visual Studio Code. Big difference: you don’t need Docker Desktop just to test Linux containers on Windows anymore.
