Databricks releases Funke for HL7v2 healthcare data parsing
Databricks introduced Funke, a new tool for parsing HL7v2 messages directly within its platform. HL7v2 is the decades-old data format used for exchanging patient information between healthcare systems, but it's complex and tough to analyze. Funke replaces Databricks' previous Smolder library, makes parsing HL7v2 data lossless and efficient, and works natively with Spark and Databricks features. This turns complex healthcare message data into something you can analyze right away.
- Parses HL7v2 data natively on Databricks
- Successor to Databricks' earlier Smolder library
- Works with Spark and Databricks pipelines
- Keeps all message hierarchy and detail intact
