Boston Dynamics names ex-Amazon AI exec Rohit Prasad as CEO
Boston Dynamics, the Hyundai-owned robotics company best known for its humanoid robots, has hired Rohit Prasad, formerly Amazon’s top Alexa AI scientist, as its new CEO starting October 7. Prasad replaces Robert Playter, who stepped down amid a leadership shakeup earlier this year. The leadership change coincides with Boston Dynamics’ push to scale up manufacturing, aiming to produce up to 30,000 humanoid robots a year by 2028 for Hyundai’s factories.
