FAU wins NIST grant for quantum cybersecurity workforce building
Florida Atlantic University has landed a $200,000 award from the US National Institute of Standards and Technology to set up a quantum cybersecurity workforce pipeline in South Florida. The project teams up with quantum hardware maker D-Wave and aims to train students and professionals to secure critical infrastructure, including power grids, using hands-on labs, workshops, and a coming on-campus D-Wave quantum computer. The program links local schools, government, and industry.
