NASA Curiosity Rover Hits 1km Ascent on Mars
NASA’s Curiosity rover just hit a new milestone, climbing 1 kilometer above the floor of Mars’ Gale Crater on August 26, 2026. The rover has been making its way up Mount Sharp since 2014 and marked the achievement with a panorama of its route back, showing exposed geologic layers and sand formations. These new images could help scientists understand how the features on the crater formed.
