Call of Duty delayed for NVIDIA RTX Spark until 2027
Microsoft says its new Arm-powered NVIDIA RTX Spark PCs will run hundreds of games at launch next week, but Call of Duty won't show up until 2027. That's despite both Activision and Spark operating under the Microsoft umbrella. The sticking point is anti-cheat: Call of Duty's Ricochet system needs a major rewrite for Arm chips, as it's currently only set up for Intel and AMD. Other anti-cheat tools are already prepping Arm support.
- Hundreds of games expected to work on RTX Spark at launch
- Call of Duty support scheduled for 2027
- Anti-cheat incompatibility is the main holdup
- Ricochet anti-cheat being rebuilt for Arm architecture
- Surface Laptop Ultra (with Spark) starts at $2,599
