Microsoft debuts magnetic USB-C on Surface Laptop Ultra
Microsoft's new Surface Laptop Ultra introduces what the company claims is the first built-in magnetic USB-C port. Branded as Magnetic Connect, the feature enables cables to detach safely if pulled, similar to Apple's MagSafe, but retains full USB-C compatibility. The port supports standard USB-C accessories in addition to its magnetic charging cable. The Surface Laptop Ultra starts at $2,599, and Microsoft suggests the innovation could influence future laptop designs.
