ElmorLabs PMD2X adds detailed GPU power monitoring
ElmorLabs introduced the PMD2X, a hardware tool for tracking current, power, and voltage on each wire of a GPU’s 12v-2x6 connector. You can now set up audible alarms if any wire draws too much current, and the latest version works with Seeed Studio XIAO boards for wireless monitoring (if you’re willing to tinker). It’s $109 and targets serious overclockers and keen PC builders.
- Monitors individual wires on GPU and CPU connectors
- Triggers a buzzer if a wire surpasses set thresholds
- Wireless support possible with Seeed XIAO boards
- OLED shows detailed per-channel readings
- Costs $109 direct from ElmorLabs
