Jagex Unveils RuneScape 4, Built in Unreal Engine
Jagex has announced RuneScape 4, its next major MMO, at RuneFest 2026. The game is in early development using Unreal Engine (version unspecified) and started as an expansion for the upcoming survival title Dragonwilds, before becoming its own project. RuneScape 4 picks up years after Dragonwilds and will launch alongside existing RuneScape games. Real gameplay footage, platforms, and monetization details aren’t out yet.
