Flipkart buys into travel tech startup TravClan
Flipkart has bought a minority stake in TravClan, a B2B travel tech startup in India. The deal is meant to boost Flipkart’s holiday package business, expand its international travel options, and tap into TravClan’s network of 15,000 travel agents. TravClan will use the investment to hire more staff and upgrade its tech and global reach. The move comes as Flipkart looks to grow beyond ecommerce into more travel services.
