Cloudflare debuts K2 serverless event streaming in public beta
Cloudflare has launched the public beta of K2, a serverless event streaming platform on its Developer Platform. K2 allows data producers to send events to an ordered, durable log, which consumers can read at their own pace, decoupling their throughput and availability. Built atop Cloudflare’s R2 object storage, K2 enables high-scale, long-term retention of events, addressing limitations of traditional systems like Kafka in globally distributed settings.
