Google Cloud Managed Lustre adds lower-cost Dynamic Tier
Google Cloud has introduced a lower-cost 'Dynamic Tier' for its Managed Lustre high-performance filesystem, aimed at AI and high performance computing workloads. Priced at 6 cents per GB each month, the new tier keeps low-latency storage for active data and shifts older data to slower, but cheaper storage automatically. Developers get sub-millisecond access speeds and predictable pricing, without extra fees for storage types or data moves.
- Dynamic Tier starts at $0.06 per GB each month
- Keeps hot data fast, demotes cold data to lower-cost storage
- No extra charges for storage type or data movement
- Handles up to 80PB capacity and many thousands of clients
