Royal Bank of Canada sets out quantum computing plan
Royal Bank of Canada just launched a multi-year quantum computing strategy. This covers quantum R&D for financial modeling, partnerships with University of Waterloo and University of Toronto, and a quantum workforce pipeline. The bank’s also working with Xanadu for staff training, and moving its systems over to quantum-resistant cryptography. RBC recently brought on Dr. Elizabeth Iwasawa as Director of Quantum to lead the program.
