AMD bringing FSR 4 upscaling to APUs and handhelds this year
AMD says its FSR 4 upscaling—machine learning tech that boosts gaming performance—will roll out to APUs (processors with built-in graphics), gaming laptops, and handhelds by the end of 2026. Jack Huynh, AMD's Computing and Graphics SVP, confirmed the timeline to Korean media. FSR 4 previously worked only on AMD’s recent discrete graphics cards, so this marks the first official support for integrated graphics. Older RDNA 2 GPUs will get FSR 4 in 2027.
