Samsung high on AI chip demand, forecasts record $80B profit
Samsung says its third-quarter operating profit will jump to 107.4 trillion won—about $80 billion—thanks to soaring demand for memory chips used in AI data centers. That's a nine-fold increase from the same period last year. Revenue is also up 127%. Samsung, already the world’s top memory chipmaker, credits strong AI chip sales and recently announced a partnership with Mistral AI for its growth.
