Microsoft Fabric expands support for AI agents in enterprise data
Microsoft's integrated data platform, Fabric, is rolling out updates to make it easier for AI agents—like Microsoft 365 Copilot—to access and understand a company's internal data and business rules. The new Fabric IQ layer now feeds Copilot automatically, and Power BI will soon use the same definitions to build apps. Ontologies, which help add company-specific logic, are moving further into preview. Microsoft says the aim is smarter, more aware enterprise agents.
