QNAP unveils managed switches with 25GbE uplinks for SMBs
QNAP released its QSW-M5218 Series switches for small and mid-sized businesses, packing 12 ports for 10GbE (fast Ethernet over copper) devices and 6 ports for 25GbE SFP28 uplinks. These switches support both basic and some advanced Layer 3 routing, reducing network bottlenecks as more businesses adopt faster servers and NAS devices. They also allow businesses to use existing copper cabling, skipping expensive rewiring for upgrades.
